Metropolis: Discover Net Zero Water at Vakil Metropolis
As you all have come across this many times, Vakil Metropolis is now Karnataka’s First Net Zero Water Township!
Ever wondered what that means for you as a resident? In simple terms you’ll enjoy a consistent water supply, recharged ground water and safe centrally tested water.
Here’s how it works—and why it matters.
What Is Net Zero Water?
Net Zero Water means that the water that falls in the township is either naturally replenished or responsibly recycled. We’ve built a closed-loop water system that captures, treats, reuses, and recharges water—all within the layout.
To help illustrate this, we’ve created an infographic that demonstrates how it works—zoom in to view the details.

How It Works
Rainwater Harvesting: Rainwater from the layout flows to the NetZero Water Pond inside the layout.
Replenishing Ground Water: Through percolation pits rainwater also refills the underground water sources.
Advanced Treatment Plants: Water is filtered, stored, and distributed back to homes for safe use.
Used Water Gets a Second Life: Sewage treatment means water from showers, sinks, and toilets gets cleaned and reused for flushing and gardening.
How you benefit:
Cost: Predictable bills, minimal dependency on tankers.
Environment: Groundwater gets recharged.
Health: Centralized testing = safe water, every time.
Vakil Metropolis is more than just a place to live—it’s a smarter, greener way of life. We’re proud to lead the way in sustainable living, and even prouder that you’re a part of it.
Thank you for being with us on this journey.
